This post is dedicated to my good friend, Lizard who helped me stuff around making my first ever cooking video today. We had so much fun doing it and although getting the Timelapse video for Insta took about 500 goes, this video below was our first and only take!
Since uni days I’ve mucked around pretending to have my own cooking show. I lost track of the number of times I would cook up a big batch of fried rice over a bottle of wine with my best mate Soph in our apartment in Neutral Bay. I’d rattle on talking to the “camera”; Soph was always a very obliging cameraman.
Since I’ve started writing this blog I’ve learnt so much about photography, food styling, making backdrops and have taught myself how to set up and manage this website. I’m really enjoying the process and can’t wait to get stuck in to a few videos so watch this space for more to come.
These chicken pin wheel sandwiches are the easiest thing in the world to make, taste delicious with really fresh bread and you can put anything in them. Try smoked salmon with some cream cheese, tuna, sweetcorn and mayo or some Nutella and thinly sliced banana.
chicken pin wheel sandwiches
2 x pieces of sliced bread
1/4 cup of cooked, shredded chicken
1 x dessert spoon of butter
- Simply butter both pieces of bread and then place them on top of each other, line them up and using a serrated knife, cut the crusts off.
- Slightly overlap one piece of bread with the other and press down firmly to join the pieces of bread together.
- Place some chicken along the bottom of the piece of bread and tightly roll the bread, like you are rolling a sushi roll.
- Cut the sandwich in to quarters.
