I have been in a bit of a breakfast rut of late so I was excited about re-discovering my love of a bowl of humble old porridge oats. The quick oats are so creamy and quick to make and talk about filling!

Throw 1 1/2 cups of quick oats in to a saucepan with 2 cups of milk and 1 1/3 third cups of water. Bring to the boil and then back off to a simmer, stirring occasionally until most of the liquid has been absorbed in to the oats (this should take about 5-6 minutes).
Serve with a drizzle of honey and any fruit that you may have in the house. Stay tuned for some stewed fruit recipes to come.
