chocolate slab

If you’re looking for something fun to do with the kids, why not make my easy chocolate slab.

Simply melt some chocolate and stud it with anything you like. Think lollies, choccies, candy canes, pretzels, nuts, dried fruit, marshmallows and sprinkles.

A real special treat to have in the fridge or make some and package it up nicely in some cellophane to give as a gift this Christmas.

Add whatever confectionery you like.
Use milk, dark or white chocolate. Or a combination of the three.
Using chocolate chips is preferred because the chocolate melts nice and evenly. Use whatever cooking chocolate or regular chocolate that you like however. Obviously the better quality the chocolate, the better the taste.
Cut or break into whatever shape you like.

chocolate slab

600 grams of milk chocolate (which is 3 packs of these Cadbury chocolate chips)
A selection of confectionary, marshmallows and sprinkles, for studding (be as creative as you like here)

  • Add the chocolate chips to a large glass mixing bowl, placing over a large saucepan of boiling water. Melt the chocolate, whilst stirring with a wooden spoon until just melted.
  • Pour out into a lined lamington tray and stud with your choice of confectionery.
  • Pop in the fridge to set and then dig in.
The girls have so much fun making this.
