If you’re looking for something easy to make with the kids – and by easy, I mean, easy. Then you’ve come to the right place.
Try these tasty “two ingredient” protein crisp chocolate crackles. A great little after school treat and made simply by melting some chocolate in the microwave before mixing through some protein crisps. I made a batch this week and the girls gobbled them up. Bea in particular. I guess anything with chocolate.
I’ve been pretty quiet here lately, I’ve been spending every spare moment I can find, working on my new newsletter, “Lo’s Kitchen Today” on Substack (you can check it out here). It feels good to be uploading a new recipe for you.
Off to try and get a bit of shut eye.
As always… happy cooking.
And happy eating.
Lo x

my new “two ingredient” chocolate crackles
200 grams of milk chocolate chips (I use these)
150 gram packet of soy protein crisps (available from Woolies or Coles)
Small patty cases (mixture makes about 30 small ones)
- Add the chocolate chips to a microwave safe bowl and heat on high for one minute. Take out and stir with a spoon. If it needs a little bit longer, throw it back in for another 30 seconds or so. (Be careful here as all microwaves are different and you don’t want the chocolate to burn, you just want it nearly melted – the residual heat will keep melting the chocolate after you’ve taken it out).
- Add the protein crisps into a large mixing bowl and stir the melted chocolate through until well combined.
- Spoon out into the patty cases and pop into the fridge to set.
- Store in an airtight container in the fridge.
If you make these chocolate crackles, I’d love to hear what you think. Please feel free to comment below or send me a message on Insta.
