berry bliss balls

Berry bliss ball recipe

You know the drill. You’re running out the door and realise that amongst the chaos of getting everyone else ready, you haven’t had breakfast yourself.

Insert the bliss ball.

I love having a container of these in the fridge for a quick and easy snack when you’re on the go.

Made in next to no time at all, the hardest part is having to drag the food processor out of the cupboard. You simply throw all the ingredients in, whizz together and then roll in some coconut and you’re done.

These are made with rolled oats, coconut, sultanas, almond meal and frozen mixed berries but you can substitute a lot of these ingredients (see my recommendations below).

There’s no excuse to go hungry now.

These are fabulous to have in the fridge as a healthy snack to eat on the run.
Made with minimal ingredients, see my recommendations below for substitutions.
School holiday cook ups. Berry bliss balls, my easy mini berry friands and a zucchini slice.

berry bliss balls

This recipe makes approximately 18 small sized balls. You can also add a tablespoon of maple syrup or honey if you’d like them a bit sweeter. You can replace the sultanas with dates, dried apricots, raisins or dried cranberries if you prefer. Add vanilla extract too if you like and use blueberries, raspberries or strawberries instead of the mixed berries if that’s what you have handy.

1 x cup of rolled oats
1/2 cup of desiccated coconut, plus a little extra for rolling the balls in
1/4 cup of almond meal
1/4 cup of sultanas
1 x cup of frozen mixed berries

  • Simply add all ingredients into the bowl of a food processor and blend together until smooth.
  • Roll into small balls and coat in coconut.
  • Pop in the fridge in an airtight container.
