Living in Wagga, with family in Sydney – we sometimes feel like we live on the Hume Highway travelling back and forth! Forget stopping at Macca’s on trips down the Hume however. If you haven’t been to the Eling Forest Winery Cafe – on the Sydney side of Sutton Forest, do yourself a favour and make this your regular pit stop. They have absolutely something to suit everyone, from burgers and fries, to scones with jam and cream, great coffee, cold drinks and daily specials.
Pictured below is their ham, cheese and tomato toasty which can be easily ‘taken away’ if you are in a hurry. It’s scrummy and a very generous serving so makes for a great meal to share.
It’s so good being able to stretch your legs in between long car trips and the cafe is set in a gorgeous outdoor setting with grass for the kids to run around in and very good toilet facilities.
How good.
They do great kids milkshakes and banana bread, as well as cakes and scones.
